Who we are...

We are a growing family of everyday people who are discovering together, the joys and wonders of the Christian Life. We understand that our source of greatest strength comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Our second source of strength comes from doing life together with each other. We feel that our church family is a support group for all of life. That is why we call First Baptist . . . "The People Place!"

Our Equipping

We believe that one of our purposes is to teach and equip each member for every aspect of life. We do this through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God in the public worship service, through the sunday school, through small group bible studies, and through the various ministries and opportunities offered at First Baptist Church. Our desire is to leave every person we come into contact with - stronger, happier, more confident, and more full of faith in Jesus Christ, than when we found them.

Our Style

Our worship - is a blend of upbeat contemporary music, along with some of the great hymns of the faith.

Our Atmosphere - welcoming and friendly, casual dress encouraged. (you can leave the ties and halo's at home)

Our Teaching and Preaching - Biblical messages that relate to everyday life for every member of the family.

Our Belief in the Bible

We believe that the Bible is the all encompassing inspired Word of God; It is the ultimate blueprint for all of life. God's word gives direction, changes lives, empowers us to action, comforts the hurting, and brings joy and peace to the hearts of those who will embrace it's truth,it's message, and it's author.

"For the word of God is living and powerful,

and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing

even to the division of soul and spirit, and joints and

marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and

intents of the heart."

Jesus

We believe that Jesus is the one and only Son of God, the third person of the trinity, and that He is the Savior of the world. We believe that Jesus is the only way of salvation, and that He will hear and save any person who will call out to Him and put their faith in Him.

that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life"
